After the videography is done, this is where the creativity takes place. After an in-person meeting or phone conference meeting to disucss the details of your production, we'll set a deadline -- and meet it!

What exactly is Post-Production?
Once the filming process is done, post-production is the process that starts with capturing your video footage to the computer's hard-drive, editing the footage and creating individual chapters, and finally authoring the chapters to create menus for the DVD itself. We work with two of the best programs on the market today: Final Cut Pro DVD Studio Pro. With Doug Silton Productions, you have the option of watching us work, going step by step through the post-production with us and making sure that the transitions, special effects, and material is presented the way that you would like.

This is how my company got started!

"I started making instructional DVDs in 2000. I hired videographers, post-production editors, replication companies ... the works. I had to deal with 4 different companies for each video that I made, simply because I believed that I could get a better price going through individuals instead of one company -- and I was right! However, I also learned through error that when companies outsource to a staff that doesn't quite care about their jobs, you get less than quality work. After four years of hiring people to do my videos for me, I decided that I could do a better job myself! And I was right! After spending thousands upon thousands of dollars in start-up costs with top of the line computer, video, and sound equipment, along with thousands of dollars in lessons and a year of editing and videography experience, I started out small -- doing instructional video 'tutoring' for my other dance instructor friends. In 2005, I started the Doug Silton Productions company, with the goal to specialize in videography and post-production for the small business-person. Personal contact. Fewer clients. Less hassles.
